Dr. Daniel Acsadi is the Executive Director of Concord Community Music School in New Hampshire, where he teaches guitar. With over two decades of experience in education, music performance, and nonprofit management, he deeply believes in the transformative power of the arts for individuals and communities.
Daniel has previously held the positions of Director of the Boston Classical Guitar Society, Associate Director of Boston GuitarFest, and Director of Education and Community Programs at Powers Music School.
For the annual BCGS festivals, he commissioned new guitar ensemble compositions from Roland Dyens, Andrew York, Dusan Bogdanovic, Carlo Domeniconi, Nikita Koshkin, Clarice Assad, Robert Beaser, and Pavel Steidl. Frank Wallace, John Hall, and William Fletcher have written / dedicated pieces to Daniel.
Daniel has served on the faculty of Tufts University, Longy School of Music of Bard College, and Bridgewater State University. He holds doctoral and master’s degrees from New England Conservatory. and a BA from Cornell University with a double major in economics and music. His primary teachers include Eliot Fisk, Pablo Cohen, John Hall, and Alexandre Pier Federici. Daniel has performed in masterclasses for Leo Brouwer, Manuel Barrueco, Eduardo Fernandez, Adam Holzman, Bruce Holzman, the Newman/Oltman Duo, Renato Butturi, and Clare Callahan.
