The French novelist Marcel Proust said that gothic cathedrals are “probably the highest and unquestionably the most original expression of French genius.” This guitar, built by the French luthier Bastien Burlot, who was inspired by the sound of Friederich and Field along with the aesthetic of a cathedral in Amiens, is pretty nice too!
I love this guitar for its comfortable low action, the beautiful woods / rosette, and how it has a projecting brilliance to the sound. If you are near Boston, you can try it in-person. It comes with a Hiscox Pro-II case.
Bastien Burlot is no longer making guitars, so there aren’t many other guitars like this.
